The New Saw Horses

Scott is a fourth generation musician and fifth generation Texan. He grew up surrounded by musicians; his first memory of music was of his mother playing the piano and singing old church hymns along with his sisters. Although multi-instrumental, the guitar is Scott’s primary instrument. One of his previous projects, in which he wrote the music and co-produced, was nominated for several Grammy awards and his compositions have been licensed for film use.
Bruce was born in Teaneck, New Jersey and lived in several different states before arriving in Houston, Texas as a teenager. He started off on the family piano before moving on to his father’s abandoned 1952 Epiphone Zenith guitar. He has been a songwriting Hill Country musician since the late ’80s. He has performed with the Scriveners, Skinny Jims, and Ramblewoods, among others.

Originally from Southern California, Dan played drums with various rock and roll and punk bands, namely Monotone and The Nucleoids, The Moderns, and The Peer Group. After relocating to Austin Texas, he played with surf and country bands, including Deep Fried Armadillo and Irish punk rockers Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead. In addition to keeping time in The New Saw Horses, Dan also plays drums with the Austin punk rock tribute band Raul’s Royal Foot.
